Inspiring the leaders of the future

To support the Netflix documentary series Our Planet, created in conjunction with WWF, the charity wanted to create a set of educational resources to inspire teachers and young people to explore the challenges we face.

I worked with Peanut & Crumb to create a classroom activity where students participated in a United Nations-style summit as world leaders and environmental experts. In their roles, they had to come up with solutions to some of the most pressing environmental issues, take to the podium to pitch them to their fellow leaders, and negotiate how to secure the funds to make these changes possible.

This video, which I directed, tells the story of a sample summit we filmed with students and teachers from St Andrew’s School in Woking.

It was so encouraging to see these bright minds at work, and to show teachers how this activity can inspire creativity and commitment.
